NABU and SAPO previously reported that a senior SSU official had threatened to use a firearm and was preventing detectives from accessing the premises to conduct the search.
Background: On 4 November, Ukrainska Pravda sources reported searches involving Anton Kravchuk, Head of the SSU's Main Internal Security Directorate, and Oleksandr Kovalchuk, First Deputy Head of Directorate D within the SSU's Department for the Protection of National Statehood. Sources told UP that the searches involving senior SSU officials on 4 November may be linked to the activities of Andrii Osipov, nicknamed "Criminal", who was previously detained by NABU and SAPO. The SSU confirmed that anti-corruption agencies had conducted searches involving its employees and stated that it was "cooperating with the investigative authorities".
