Details: The Chomga UAV features a conventional fixed-wing design and requires prepared take-off and landing sites. It can be operated using either SkyLoki, the manufacturer's proprietary analogue radio-control system with enhanced resistance to jamming, or a Starlink satellite terminal connected to a remote-control system with an integrated LTE modem.
Quote: "Our new product is the Chomga fixed-wing UAV, which serves as a base platform for various tactical missions. The aircraft is now fully flight-ready... The complete system costs between US$5, 000 and US$7, 000, depending on the communications system selected. It is also designed to be easily repaired in the field – all you need is a cordless drill, a screwdriver and a rivet gun."
Details: The platform can be configured for several roles depending on the mission. The RP 7 Chomga M-Fly reconnaissance and strike variant features a laser target designator used to guide RP 7-10 SkyLoki FPV drones equipped with optical seekers for autonomous strikes.
In its carrier configuration, the Chomga can carry up to three RP 7-10 strike drones, each armed with a 1 kg warhead, or two drones with higher-capacity batteries.
In its air defence configuration, the Chomga can carry three high-speed RP 7-Zenit interceptor drones integrated with the SineLink system.
The RP 7-15-RLY SkyLoki Ultra+ communications repeater can provide support for strike groups. The developers have ruled out using the Chomga itself as a permanent repeater due to its vulnerability at low speeds, opting instead for a tethered balloon-mounted system capable of operating for up to 10 hours without intervention.
The drone can carry a payload of up to 15 kg. It has a cruising speed of 75 km/h and a maximum speed of 110 km/h, can operate at altitudes of up to 1, 500 m and has a flight endurance of up to 90 minutes. It requires a runway of up to 50 m for take-off and landing. An RP 7 Chomga Photo: Ukrspetsdronprom
In its bomber-drone configuration, the Chomga can carry a 15 kg payload to a distance of up to 60 km and return to base. Configured as a one-way attack drone with a 15 kg warhead, it has a range of 100-125 km.
The laser target designation system has a range of up to 3 km when operating at altitudes of up to 1, 500 m. The Chomga's RP 7-Zenit interceptor drones carry 0. 4 kg warheads, reach speeds of up to 250 km/h or 320 km/h in boost mode, and can remain airborne for up to 20 minutes.
The manufacturer has also developed a lighter variant, the Chomga Light, designed for less demanding missions and capable of carrying a 5 kg payload over distances of up to 80 km.
The Chomga UAV is now fully ready for operational deployment. The manufacturer is in talks with military units about supplying the aircraft for combat trials to test specific tactical scenarios on the front line.
Background: SkyLoki communications modules have previously been tested for resistance to electronic warfare systems in cooperation with units of the 10 th Army Corps.
