Quote: "For the second day in a row, we have been monitoring and verifying compliance with the ceasefire.

The ceasefire has had a tangible impact on the city itself. Kherson, which had been under constant shelling, has literally come back to life. There are more people on the streets, and urban life has picked up. People are going outside without fear, taking walks and enjoying the autumn sunshine. What may be an ordinary part of everyday life for some is now the greatest wish of Kherson residents." Photo: Lubinets

Details: Lubinets reported that as of 12: 00 of 28 October, the Ukrainian and Russian sides continue to fully comply with the agreements.

Background: On 23 October, the White House announced that Melania Trump had secured a ceasefire agreement between Russia and Ukraine in the temporarily occupied city of Oleshky, where a humanitarian disaster is currently unfolding. Lubinets announced the start of the ceasefire in the Oleshky area from 03: 00 Kyiv time on 27 October. Russia's Defence Ministry confirmed that the ceasefire had been introduced. The ceasefire is scheduled to remain in effect until 22: 59 on 1 November.
