Ukraine confirms strike on Russia's sole manufacturer of power batteries for aerial bomb modules

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed a successful strike on the power supply element production workshop for Russian weaponry at the Energiya plant in the Russian city of Yelets in Lipetsk Oblast, which was carried out on 25 October or in the early hours of 26 October.

Quote: "A fire broke out on the premises of the plant. The strike complicates the Russian army's manufacturing of power sources for missiles, guided aerial bombs and other armaments."

Details: The General Staff added that the plant is the sole manufacturer of power batteries for glide and correction modules used in aerial bombs, whilst also producing batteries for Iskander-M operational-tactical missile systems and sea-launched cruise missiles.

OSINT analysts previously reported that on 25 October, the Energiya plant in Yelets was attacked, likely using Storm Shadow cruise missiles.

The General Staff later detailed the results of a strike conducted on 23 October against the Proton-Electrotex company in Oryol in Russia's Oryol Oblast.

Quote: "The main microchip production workshop was destroyed and the building alongside servers of the Proton-Electrotex in the city of Oryol in Oryol Oblast was damaged."

Details: The General Staff noted that this complicates the Russian military's production of components for cruise and ballistic missiles.

Damage was also confirmed to three buildings used for the preparation and fitting of strike UAVs and one launch rail following a 23 October strike on a drone storage, preparation and launch site near Donetsk.

Another targeted facility was the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, Samara Oblast. As a result of a 24 October strike, a process pipeline, two butyl rubber production units and one fractionation column were damaged.

Quote: "This deals a blow to the supply chain for solid rocket propellant used in tactical and ballistic missiles."

Background: On 23 October and on the night of 23-24 October, Ukraine's defence forces struck the Tolyattikauchuk plant in Tolyatti, Samara Oblast, and Proton-Electrotex in the city of Oryol.
