Ukraine's Air Force has reported that Russia launched more than 4, 000 jet-powered drones, around 150 ballistic missiles and 80 cruise and air-launched missiles against Ukraine in October 2026.
Source : Colonel Yurii Ihnat, Head of Communications for the Ukrainian Air Force Command, on the national joint 24/7 newscast on 2 November
Quote : "Nearly 360 Banderol/Dan-T drone-launched cruise missiles of this particular type were used in October. There were also 4, 740 conventional drones – meaning Shaheds, Gerberas and Parodiyas – and more than 4, 000 jet-powered UAVs. Those are the statistics for October.
As for missiles, the enemy used around 150 ballistic missiles and 80 cruise and air-launched missiles."
Details : Commenting on the performance of Ukrainian air defence, Ihnat noted that a significant proportion of Russian cruise missiles and drones had been shot down.
"Of course, as for ballistic missiles, you understand that the situation is not as we would like it to be. We are, of course, short of interceptors for Patriot systems. I mean PAC-3 missiles, which are being discussed a great deal today," the Ukrainian Air Force representative added.
