Rory McIlroy inks partnership deal with DP World that includes an unbelievably nice set of perks

Somehow, someway, life just got even better for Rory McIlroy.

The career grand slam winner, who has earned well over $200 million on the golf course alone, has entered into a global partnership with DP World. While athletes joining forces with a company is hardly ever newsworthy, McIlroy teaming up with the logistics company is an exception thanks to the perk that comes along with it.

Moving forward, DP World will be sending not one, but two fitness and recovery trailers to every tournament McIlroy tees it up in on both the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour.

"Rory McIlroy’s season takes him around the world, but his training and recovery environment doesn’t have to change with it," an announcement from DP World stated. "In a new multi-year global partnership announced today, DP World will take McIlroy’s personalised fitness and recovery environment from tournament to tournament, using its smart end-to-end global logistics network to give him and his team greater consistency wherever he competes."

While McIlroy is playing a more limited schedule than ever before in his career, he is still very much a global player, making starts across multiple countries and continents each year.

Sending two fitness trailers around the globe sounds like a nearly impossible challenge, but DP World directly addressed the potential hurdles it may face logistically.

"At the heart of the partnership are two personalised fitness and recovery trailers that will travel with McIlroy across his PGA Tour and DP World Tour schedules ," the statement continued. "DP World will manage every stage of their journeys, from collection and customs clearance to storage and delivery, so everything McIlroy needs to train and recover is ready when he arrives at each tournament."

McIlroy has long been one of the leading proponents of fitness in professional golf, and his hours in the gym have resulted in him being among the longest hitters in the game. He's also consistently remained healthy over the years, with his last significant injury taking place in 2017 when he suffered a hairline fracture to his rib cage.

McIlroy made 14 starts on the PGA Tour in 2026 , a total that includes each of the four major championships. He's set to make his first start in nearly a month at the DP World India Championship beginning on October 15.
