Johnnie Mercers Pier shared footage this week of an albino hammerhead shark in the waters off of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina .

The Instagram caption speculates the albino shark was somewhere between eight and nine feet long.
WNCT reported that most albino sharks are generally fairly young, and that the crews were not fishing the shark caught on video.
