Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced Thursday that Nidal Hasan's execution by firing squad will be shown publicly on Dec. 3, and a Pentagon official later told CBS News the U. S. military plans to livestream it. Hasan is the ex-Army major who was convicted of the 2009 killing of 13 people at Fort Hood.
