The Cowboys agreed to trade a 2027 sixth-round pick and a 2028 second-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for cornerback Joey Porter Jr., early Thursday, according to multiple reports. The team later confirmed the deal.
Porter was dealing with a back issue and a contentious contract negotiation with the Steelers, which led to the inevitable trade three weeks into the 2026 regular season. He had an interception, 52 tackles and a sack last season.

Now, there’s no excuse.
Jones had a little extra pep in his step after the team beat the Washington Commanders in Week 2. Everyone knows the 83-year-old billionaire is willing to do what it takes to get one more Super Bowl. Porter is another piece to make those dreams come true.
