Delta Air Lines jet clips Air Canada plane on Los Angeles International Airport tarmac

Two airplanes collided Tuesday on the tarmac at Los Angeles International Airport.

A Delta Air Lines Airbus A 350-900 slated to depart for Tokyo, carrying 275 passengers and 15 crew members, struck an Air Canada passenger jet with its left wingtip, a Delta spokesperson told Fox News Digital. No injuries were initially reported.

"While taxiing at Los Angeles International Airport, a Delta aircraft made contact with an Air Canada aircraft," a Delta statement said. "Nothing is more important than the safety of our customers and people, and we apologize to our customers for the experience and delay in their travel."
