All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is no stranger to unique matches.
Stadium Stampede, Anarchy in the Arena, Blood and Guts and Casino Gauntlets are just a few that come to mind when talking about the lore of interesting matches that have taken place in AEW. During Saturday’s "Collision," AEW introduced a new match to the fold, which will debut at WrestleDream.

Welcome, Clockwork Carnage.
Eight wrestlers will enter the match and one will have to make it through two stages to be the winner. Here’s how it will work, according to AEW.
Two randomly selected wrestlers will start the match. Every three minutes, another randomly selected wrestler will enter the fray. At that point, any competitor who is pinned or submits is eliminated until all eight wrestlers have entered the match.

Once the eighth wrestler has entered the match, all of the remaining wrestlers will enter a 15-minute scoring period. Every pinfall or submission scores one fall during those 15 minutes of action. When the time expires, the wrestler with the most falls will be declared the winner.
Adding to the intrigue, Will Ospreay will put the AEW World Championship on the line in the Clockwork Carnage match. Ospreay, right now, is the champion after beating Kenny Omega at All In back in August. Before he gets to WrestleDream, he will have to successfully defend the title against Kazuchika Okada at Grand Slam France on Wednesday.
Jack Perry and Samoa Joe will also battle it out to see who else gets into the match. Joe returned at All Out after a brief hiatus.
WrestleDream is set for Oct. 17 at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando, Florida.
